Lead Concierge at Sunrise of Fleet Celebrates 15 Years of Service

Cheryl Nash is Lead Concierge at Sunrise of Fleet, where she has worked for the past 15 years. In October 2005, she saw a job advert for a Concierge role at the care home and thought it could be a new and exciting challenge. Cheryl loves her role as Lead Concierge, and she credits the wonderful team she has behind her.

Cheryl said:

“Within a few days of taking on a Concierge role I was offered Lead Concierge. I am so pleased I accepted as I have never looked back.

Cheryl has met some lovely, caring people over the years at Sunrise of Fleet, and she has loved getting to know residents and their families. Cheryl added:

“I love the fact that every day is different, even on the days when it can be more challenging. I have really learnt to embrace every situation.

“I feel very fortunate to have met some great work colleagues and have made some very fond memories that I will treasure. We have a very special team at Sunrise of Fleet, that are always there to offer support in whatever challenges come our way.”

One of the residents at Sunrise of Fleet, Audrey, said:

“Cheryl is extremely helpful, and I would like to say thank you for all you do for us here.”

Lucy Jesse, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise of Fleet, said:

“Cheryl is such a dedicated team member. She goes above and beyond every day to help the residents and liaises with families. She loves to keep busy and is always willing to help as much as she can. She manages the team so well and has excelled during the pandemic to ensure all the family visits run smoothly and safely.”

Lisa Baxter, Activities and Volunteers Coordinator, at Sunrise of Fleet, added:

“Cheryl is always so attentive, and she knows the residents so well. This is what enables her to provide such excellent customer service.”
