Lynn Grafham, General Manager
I am so thrilled to have joined the team at Sunrise of Guildford. I am a Registered Nurse and have spent the majority of my career working in private healthcare in the acute surgical setting. I have worked for both BMI and Spire as Director of Clinical Services and as such much of my role has been around regulation and compliance as well as the daily care of our service users. Although Care Home settings are new to me maintaining high levels of care and CQC inspections are not! I am confident that I can use my past knowledge as a base where I can both develop myself and our communities to an even brighter future.
Emma Meredith, Reminiscence Co-ordinator
I joined Sunrise Senior Living in 2016 as a Reminiscence Coordinator. I have always been passionate about Memory Care and have worked in similar environments as a manager, before joining Sunrise. I enjoy working in the Sunrise of Guildford community. It is truly rewarding working with an exceptional team and delivering high quality care to our residents.
Sam McCarthy, Assisted Living Co-ordinator
The Sunrise principles of service ensure that our residents receive excellent care, which is something I am very passionate about. I have worked in both our assisted living and dementia neighbourhoods and feel very lucky to have met such lovely residents.
I have particularly enjoyed listening to the stories about their interesting lives. My favourite part of my day is when I arrive at work and see the morning smiles on our residents' faces.

Starting my career with Sunrise as a carer has given me a invaluable insight into the complexities of delivering genuinely compassionate and professional support to seniors. I now support those families who are making the choice to join Sunrise for the first time. No two sets of circumstances are the same but everyone benefits when the difficult, stressful and emotional process of moving to a new home is made smoother and easier. Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference.
Zuzana Alderton, Business Office Co-ordinator
My name is Zuzana Alderton and I have been with Sunrise for more than four years as a Business Office Coordinator. I am a qualified HR and Law professional who is passionate about our staff wellbeing but I also learned the craft of resident billing whilst on this job which I enjoy very much too. I like reading books and also hiking which I love doing with my family and friends. I have two young children who visit me at the community now and then and spread the joy (and sometimes chaos) amongst residents who take great pleasure in interacting with them.
